The George Goldman/Or Hadash D’var Torah Award is a prize given annually to a student at the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College for excellence in composition of a D’var Torah, sermon, or other related teaching. The prize was established in 2004 as an opportunity to recognize student accomplishment in light of Or Hadash’s historic connection with RRC. The winning D’var Torah is delivered at the annual Or Hadash/RRC Shabbat service, typically held in November.
Below you can find a list of past recipients and the text of their sermons.
