Our approach to Judaism emphasizes participation and hands-on involvement, which enriches both the participant and the community.
There are many avenues for members to get involved in congregational life, including participating in committee work, joining the choir, attending congregational meetings (held once a year), helping with annual events (such as fundraising and community building events), chanting Torah, and learning to lead services or Torah study.
For congregants who desire to enhance their experience at Or Hadash by participation in a more intimate, small group setting, Or Hadash encourages the formation of Havurot. The Havurot are self-directed groups of members who share a common interest: hiking, adult education, books, music, spiritual growth, you name it!
