Shabbat services

Erev Shabbat Service

June 2, 2017 - 7:30pm

During the summer (Memorial Day through Labor Day weekends), Or Hadash holds Erev Shabbat (Friday night) services every other week. That means that for Summer 2017 we WILL have services on June 2, 16 & 23, July 14 & 28, and August 11 & 25.  The first Friday night service after the Labor Day Weekend is our Welcome Back Picnic. Erev Shabbat Services are held every Friday night from then until next Memorial Day Weekend.

Friday Night Shabbat Havurah

June 16, 2017 - 6:30pm

Get in on the Spirit of Shabbat at Or Hadash

It's great to take a deep breath at the end of a long week and create a separation between the week and the weekend.  That's what Friday night Shabbat rituals help us do, create a Shabbat frame of mind.  How we get to that frame of mind is probably different for each of us, but for many it may include some version of a relaxed evening meal with friends, lots of talking and kibitzing, and some Shabbat rituals.

Please join with your fellow Or Hadashers on any (or all) of six Friday nights this year when we will come together to create a Shabbat frame of mind.  Empty-nesters, school-age families, and everyone in between, are encouraged to participate.
