General congregational events
The Outdoor Havurah grew out of an interest in being in nature and exercising out of doors with fellow congregants. We usually have four hikes/walks in local parks, often followed by lunch. The walks/hikes are about 3-5 miles, but we can adjust based on group interest. We are a friendly and welcoming group and hope that you will join us!
Outdoor Havurah will meet on 11/18 at 1:45 at Valley Green, Forbidden Drive entrance to the park at Northwestern Ave for a light hike.
Film to be shown is "Footnote"
Location: Or Hadash Community Room. Admission is free to al Light Refreshments will be served.
Theme: P'kuach Nefesh (Saving a life)
Starts at 9:00 am for the students and then at 10:30, we want you to roll up your sleeves and pitch in with our SMILE school students to feed the hungry! Did you know that Aid for Friends often runs out of food over the holidays????
Aid For Friends is especially in need of salmon, flounder and tilapia meals - no tuna fish, please. Just cook up fish, pasta, dessert, etc. (see details on the Sign Up Genius page) at home and bring it to Or Hadash, same as we do on Sukkot. It will be fun, and we will make a difference together. Someone will eat dinner because of OUR efforts. Please sign up to bring something by clicking here. PLEASE HELP!
Join us to play Mah Jongg - all experience levels welcome (we even teach)! Please bring a refreshment to share, if possible. Also, spread the word and/or bring a friend, or two. RSVPs are a must so that we can arrange for enough tables, sets, and cards. Questions should be directed to Michelle Smithman or Nadine in the office.
The service is intended for those who are seeking physical or emotional healing for themselves or someone they care about. We share inspirational and comforting readings and music and enjoy the warmth and support of our community. The service starts at 7 pm and usually lasts about an hour.
