General congregational events
Healing services are held 4-5 times each year on select Tuesday evenings at 7 pm in the Rabbi's Study. This service is intended for those who are seeking physical or emotional healing for themselves or someone they care about. We share inspirational and comforting readings and music and enjoy the warmth and support of our community. The service usually lasts about an hour and is open to all, no RSVP needed.
Broken Wings Sunday June 11th 2017 1:30 pm
Daphne and her four children try to cope with the abrupt death of husband/father. As the family seems to fall apart, a sudden incident gives them a chance to heal their 'broken wings'.
Another thoughtful film rich for discussion on family issues.
Get in on the Spirit of Shabbat at Or Hadash
It's great to take a deep breath at the end of a long week and create a separation between the week and the weekend. That's what Friday night Shabbat rituals help us do, create a Shabbat frame of mind. How we get to that frame of mind is probably different for each of us, but for many it may include some version of a relaxed evening meal with friends, lots of talking and kibitzing, and some Shabbat rituals.
Please join with your fellow Or Hadashers on any (or all) of six Friday nights this year when we will come together to create a Shabbat frame of mind. Empty-nesters, school-age families, and everyone in between, are encouraged to participate.
