Nearly 50 Or Hadashers desended on Citizens Bank Park for the Phillies Game.
Many thanks to Mike Perlmutter for organizing...
'Twas a glorious day for the Phillies to play,
The sky was so blue, and our aim felt so true.
We were sure we would win, but our team turned to tin.
We continued to hope, but before long, we had to say nope.
It didn't take long for the Phills to disintegrate,
It was really so bad, we could not even concentrate.
So we shivered in the wind, but were warmed by the cheers,
Although playing so badly not many cheers reached our ears.
I left at the 8th, the Phillies down 14 - 2 - ouch.
What I needed right then was a rest on a couch.
Many were leaving at the same time as I,
In some of the people there was not a dry eye.
No game is complete without lots of food,
From home-made to stadium-bought, it all helped our mood.
Sandwiches, pretzels, ice cream, fruit, drinks, and cotton candy,
Lots and lots came in very handy.
The comaraderie was evident as we made our rounds,
Meeting new folks and creating friendly sounds.
The way the Phillies played, they lost all claim to fame,
And with our treasured ties to each other, we are the
unchallenged winner of the game.
