Join us for Shabbat Services

Our services are warm, informal, musical & participatory.
We live in an increasingly hectic and frenzied world. Far too often we find ourselves feeling isolated and alone. At Or Hadash, gathering for Shabbat services is an infusion of community when we most need it: at the end of a long week.
First Friday of the month
3-Part Harmony
We call our First Fridays 3-Part Harmony, because we strike the perfect balance for the many generations that make up our community. At the 1st part – our monthly Tot Shabbat – we experience the joy of Friday nights through dance, music, rhythm, stories, song and play. This flows into the 2nd part – the rest of the community joins in for a potluck Shabbat dinner – bringing us all together to socialize and unwind a the end of a busy week, and (before saying goodnight to our preschoolers and their grownups) at the end of dinner we celebrate that month’s birthdays. After dinner, we roll into our 3rd part – an Intergenerational Shabbat Service – led by Rabbi Alanna Sklover, our songleader Dave Levinson, and (many months) highlights the learning, leadership, and creativity of one of our SMILE School classes.
Saturday Morning services
Shabbat Mornings
On Shabbat mornings, we nourish our whole selves. We begin with bagels, coffee, and Torah study at 9:00am and continue with a warm and heymish (welcoming) Shabbat morning service where each and every person present has the opportunity to be seen and take a role.
Come sing – come study – come connect – come schmooze.
