2009 Israel Scouts Friendship Caravan

Every summer, a musically-gifted delegation of 10 Israeli Boy and Girl Scouts (ages 16 and 17) visit summer camps, community centers and various congregations throughout the United States and Canada. Last year, over 3500 of these Israeli Scouts auditioned for the 10, highly competitive positions, to spread goodwill and cheer by way of a beautifully choreographed variety show that appeals to audiences of all ages, races and religions.

Etrog: A Rare and Revered Fruit - an adult education program

Aliza Green will be presenting a program about the history and culture of etrogim, a fascinating story that follows the etrog, the oldest of citrus fruits, brought by Jew settlers to their settlements throughout the Diaspora, starting before the time of the Roman Empire. Habitat for Humanity - Or Hadash Participates in Building

Volunteers work from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm with a 1-hour lunch break. It's a feel-good experience that's a lot of fun, too. Take a look at the accompanying photos of fellow congregants who have worked on the house so far (Guy & Shelly Homer, Nancy Boxer, Ken Rosenberg, Burt Siegel, and Rabbi Josh) as well as the progress that we've made on the building!
