Tikkun Leyl Shavuot - An evening of festive learning and song

Tuesday Evening, May 30 At Adath Jeshurun

The evening will begin at 7:00 PM and go all night!

***Dinner for all at 7:00 PM!***

Traditional text study including Torah, Midrash, and Talmud. Parallel sessions throughout the evening that incorporate yoga, improv, and song. Special programming for our youth. Snacks and caffeine available throughout the evening.

SESSIONS INCLUDE:

- Bible Raps with Matt Bar from 7:45 PM to 8:30 PM

- Ma’ariv Service from 8:30 PM to 9:00 PM

- Leaving Ethiopia. Bernie and Lana Dishler tell a first-hand story, including slides, of flying with Ethiopian Jews from Ethiopia to Israel.

- B’tzelem Elohim: What Genesis and Gender Studies Tell Us About Being Made in the Image of the Divine. Taught by Deborah Meyer, Executive Director of Moving Traditions.

- Shavuot for Grown-Ups: The Erotic Essence of Receiving Torah. Rabbi Joshua Waxman

- Hashkama/Sunrise Minyan at 5:00 AM
